It's a non transferable post with fast promotional avenues up to Additional Secretary to Govt. Of Gujarat, the intermediate destinations being Under Secretary (Class 1), Deputy Secretary (IAS-allied) and Joint Secretary(IAS-allied).
(Also, please note that I am not a member of Central civil service or All India Service (AIS) like IPS/IFS etc as indicated partly in my profile. I had to select that option because the dropbox here doesn't give the option to select State Civil Service which I am part of.)
